genUinely celebrating inclusion
Business mergers are complex by nature, so when it was announced that two of the most trusted organisations that care for some of the most vulnerable people in a passionate local community were joining forces as the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) was being rolled out around the country, you knew there was change in the wind. When the merged organisation brought a major national employment service, ESG, under it's umbrella and expanded its footprint to five states, the winds of change were blowing harder.
After a year-long process a new identity emerged last week for what knew for 60-odd years as Karingal and St Laurence, and for a short time as Karingal St Laurence. the new genU didn't just bring a smile to its new corporate identity, it brought huge smiles, whoops of excitement and a party to its clients, families and staff.
In sharing the new future for the organisation, genU CEO Mike McKinstry announced that the future of the organisation would be to provide disability services in every region where the newly integrated organisation has an existing footprint, and that means in cities and regional areas across Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia.
